{"id":69,"date":"2020-07-11T22:40:33","date_gmt":"2020-07-12T02:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bergenfederationkofc.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=69"},"modified":"2023-05-29T21:00:34","modified_gmt":"2023-05-30T01:00:34","slug":"exemplifications","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bergenfederationkofc.org\/wordpress\/exemplifications","title":{"rendered":"Exemplifications"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The former individual Admission, Formation, and Knighthood Degrees\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">have been merged into a new Degree <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">called<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity (CUF).<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Current members who have only taken the Admission (1st) or Formation Degrees (2nd)<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">will now take the CUF to complete their Knighthood Journey.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The new CUF Exemplification can now take place with friends and families of the council in attendance per instructions from Supreme Council.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">All Exemplification gatherings must conform to local municipality and Diocesan guidance.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h4>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bergenfederationkofc.org\/wordpress\/Exemplification FAQ.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><u><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Click Here for CUF Degree Facts<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<p><center><\/center><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Exemplification dates are listed below.\u00a0 Please follow these suggestions for attending a exemplification hosted by another council:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Grand Knight\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>MUST<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> contact the Host Grand Knight, at least three(3) days before the exemplification to let the Host Grand Knight know that he is sending\/bringing candidates and guests to the exemplification.\u00a0 This will help the host council plan for enough refreshments.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Be on time!<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sign-in time is generally 30 minutes prior to the exemplification start time <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">unless otherwise noted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is not a casual event.\u00a0 However, no candidate or guest should be scrutinized or turned away due to their attire.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>CANDIDATES:\u00a0<\/strong> Let them know that they can wear a suit and tie, but a collared dress shirt with dress pants is also appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>PRESENTERS:<\/strong>\u00a0 The preferred attire is suit and tie with ceremonial baldric. At the very minimum shirt, blazer, and slacks with ceremonial baldric.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>COUNCIL OFFICERS:\u00a0<\/strong> The preferred attire is suit and tie with Medal of Office. Matching, branded Knights of Columbus Council shirts would also be appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How should candidates be greeted and assembled?<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Candidates should be greeted by the Financial Secretary and assembled in an area that will be conducive to reviewing the pledges and signing the Constitutional Roll.\u00a0 If the Field Agent is present, he can assist. Add assistants based on class size.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Warden escorts those to be exemplified to their reserved seats in front of the assembly. For small classes, they may be escorted as a group. For large classes, they may be escorted in small groups as they finish signing the Constitutional Roll.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Candidates should be seated on the side of the presentation space that is directly facing the presentation podium.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sending councils should bring a letter of introduction with the following information as the host council will need to file <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bergenfederationkofc.org\/wordpress\/Exemplification Form 450.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Form 450 &#8211; Degree Exemplification Report<\/strong><\/a><\/span> following the Exemplification.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Council Name and Number (if not on letterhead).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Financial Secretary&#8217;s Name and Telephone Number.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Full name of each candidate attending the exemplifications<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 6.
