It is with regret that we announce the passing of John Wolf, Jr. We all knew him as “Wolfie” or “DJ Wolfie”.
Earlier this morning, March 22, John passed at the age of 74.
John was married to Joyce and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding Anniversary this coming September.  They were parishioners of St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny.  He also leaves behind his beloved dog, King Brutus.

John worked for New Jersey Transit prior to his retirement.

A Brother Knight for 29 years, first with Lyndhurst Council 2396, Lyndhurst, and recently with Queen of Peace Council 3428, North Arlington.  He was a Fourth Degree Knight for 27 years, serving as Faithful Navigator of Santa Maria Assembly 0663, Wallington from 1995-1996 and recently as a Sir Knight of Monsignor Peter B. O’Connor Assembly 1543, North Arlington.  John also served as Chairman of the Bergen Chapter from 1999-2001 and also served as the Death Benefit Chairman.

He enjoyed coming to functions, conventions, collecting memorabilia, and autographs from famous people as well as playing music from all musical genres at many venues, especially summer concerts.

One of John’s favorite things was to present a $100.00 gift card to the first baby born on Columbus Day at Clara Maas Hospital.  He took great pride and joy in doing this.

At the present time, there will be no church service and funeral arrangements were incomplete.  This information will be updated when available.

Mass cards, sympathy cards, and other notes you may want to send to Joyce can be mailed to 77 Pavonia Avenue, Kearny, NJ 07032.

Included below is the last Friday Morning Club Jokes that John sent on January 10, 2020.
